BASICS OF SURFACE COATINGS - This workshop is targeted at all those involved with paints and painting. This is aimed at all those involved in the specification and use of surface coatings. Architects, construction, application and marketing of surface coatings for decorative and industrial purposes. It is a basic presentation and little scientific back ground is required. The preliminary workshop will provide a background for further practical application modules covering paint systems, surface preparation, application and distribution.(2 DAYS)
FILM FORMERS This will be of interest to those wishing to get a background to resins and solvents used in our industry. (1 DAY)
DANGEROUS GOODS - This is aimed at Stores personnel, purchasing, transport managers, warehouse managers, QA managers, safety officers.(1/2 DAY)
OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY - This workshop is aimed at all those employed in the formulation, manufacture and use of chemical substances. Due to the particular complications in the paint and related industry this a comprehensive presentation and so should have a wide appeal to the industry.
SAFETY DATA SHEETS - Compiling and understanding them. (1/2 day)
PAINT FORMULATION - This will interest those engaged in the formulation of paints or who wish to get a better understanding of the subject. A knowledge of chemistry and physics is desirable.
